25 September 2011"My husband and me very much enjoyed staying at the Vip Grand Lisboa. Although not situated in the old town centre, the hotel was close to public transport, taxi's, various shops, touristic spots and nice restaurants, close to Campo Pequeno which seamed to be an excellent spot for as well lunch as dinner. The hotel services, breakfast and staff were excellent, the pool was great. The rooms have a great style with plenty of storage possibility, often hidden. I just wonder if it will be possible to keep the bathtub proply cleaned during the years. We visited Lisboa twice already but this time chose this hotel as it is situated close to our daughter's appartment were she stays for a couple of months as an Erasmus student and it seemed to be an ideal choise in various ways."

24 May 2010"We read all the comments before we booked this hotel. And yes, it's on a hill, but you know Lissabon is the city of 7 hills?? To mention some where pretty steep. So, yes you'll get tired feet and aching muscles when you visit (like us) all attractions by foot. So what!? Get that lazy but moving :) My suggestion: if you can, then walk or use the public transportations. And if you can't, taxis are pretty cheap but prices can vary a little. Last but not least, talk to your receptionist asa you arrive and ask him/her where to go and what to see in the neighbourhood. Like the restaurant-area is pretty close to this hotel Principe Real and he can advice you about good restaurants. The coplete staff is very friendly."

28 January 2012"We just completed one of our best hotel stay ever at the Hotel Britania. It is easy to access by the Airport bus leaving directly in front of the airport and stopping 5 mintes from the hotel. The entire staff is wonderful. Great restaurant and touring suggestions. The rooms are very comfortable with a small entry room that can be used by early risers without disturbing the other sleeper. Well lit for easy reading; or, you can read in the delightful 1st floor room with complimentary tea, pastries, port and sherry. We would like to see a complimentary breakfast offered rather than a buffet at 15 Euros."

19 September 2011"we were given a room directly underneath where they were doing construction and using jackhammers. we could not sleep after flying all night to portugal. when we mentioned this to the front desk staff they merely said it was not there property that was being worked on. i asked that they give me a reduction in the room price and they said no"

3 October 2010"Our room was on the lst floor, however, after 3 nights of not being able to sleep due to noise in the lobby, we moved up to the 4th floor, which was quiet in the evening. On the same note, the mattress was not very comfortable, it was very lumpy, this cause sleep loss aswell. Nightly entertainment in the lobby would make for an pleasant evening for anyone who did not want to venture out of the hotel at night. i.e. live guitar, piano, portugese fado music and maybe ballroom dancing."

30 October 2011"Being a wheelchair user (Tetraplegic in a manual wheel chair) I found the hotel room as well as its surroundings fairly accessible. The common areas are fine and accessible. The room was just large enough to circulate without bumping into chairs and other furniture. Only one negative for me which was no WiFi access to the internet. "
