The Hotel Arena is located on the edge of Amsterdam's city centre. It is a lively meeting place for the habitants of the city, as well as for tourists and business travellers. It is next to Oosterpark in the middle of a plentiful greenery, and the Artis and Tropenmuseum.

The hotel is provided with a terrace with beautiful trees and is sheltered by a monumental and historical building. People of all ages and professions come here, in an informal atmosphere of Dutch design and history.
This structure was built in 1890 and it was the Saint Elisabeth Orphanage at the beginning. In 1982 it was refurbished and transformed into a lively youth hostel. In 1999, the building was called Hotel Arena and it become a 3-star hotel with bar, restaurant, club and meeting rooms. Our famous house style is indeed: TOSTAY, TODRINK, TODINE, TONIGHT and TOMEET.

The atmosphere and events organised here are very particular, because they are a mix between commerce, art and culture. Several interior architects from Amsterdam gave the building a new and surprising aspect – with a special role for the monumental high windows, long corridors and wide staircases.
