In the San Leonardo Resort it is possible to try the Paintherapy, a new treatment for the sharp and chronic pain.
The Paintherapy, also known as therapy of the sphenopalatine ganglion, is a new analgesic American technique for the treatment of headaches, hemicrania, rhinitis, neuralgia of the trigeminus, lumbo-sacral pains, slipped disk, sciatica and dysmenorrhoea. This technique is executed by an Otolaryngologist and consists in a simple local application on the sphenopalatine ganglion through the nose. The extremities of 4 flexible nasal applicators are covered with cotton wool and moistened with an anti-inflammatory solution. The applicators are put on the ganglion through the nose and are let to work for about 30 minutes. The medicine spreads and is assimilated by the ganglion using a technique which is painless and safe. There is no need for injections and there are no side effects for the therapy.
The therapy has to be tried for a period of 15 days at least and is adapted to every single patient and to his illness.
