6 May 2012"1. The Wifi is not free; that should be mentioned in the information. Or better: make it free. 2.There was some misunderstanding about the breakfast: not included in the room price either. 3. One would expect in a hotel like this the possibility to make tea and/or coffee in the room."

27 April 2011"Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times. Curtain in room 417 was torn, this gives a bad impression, which is a pity as everything else was very good. The breakfast was excellent but if we arrived on the late side (9 45) the choice was a bit limited (no more pastries, fruit or natural yoghurt)"

11 January 2011"Our stay at the ME Madrid was very pleasant and I would definitely recommend the hotel for its location and value. The front lobby staff was professional and attentive. All our requests were answered promptly and our comfort truly seemed to matter to the hotel staff. The hotel has been recently renovated and the compact room had a plethora of technologies from the heated bathroom to a fabulous modern shower stall with jets. The television and access to international channels was superior. The business center was always accessible and empty. My only negative was that even though the hotel supposedly has Madrid's best suites our room was tiny with only an interior window to an enclosed courtyard. The deluxe doubles are modern and luxurious with great beds, however the limited room space only large enough for the bed and the built in cabinets made it feel like one was in an Egyptian tomb comfortably appointed but a tomb none the less. My partner and I had sleeping issues because it was claustrophobic and the only place to sit in the room was the bed as the desk chair literally touch the bed when one sat in it. I must admit that an upgrade was available for a thirty percent increase in price and we chose to stay in the room we had booked online. All in all I give the hotel a thumbs up on location, value, and exceptional personal service. If you need breathing space do not book the deluxe double."

30 March 2012"This is the second time we use the same hotel in less than 30 days for a one night lay-over for travel. The mattresses are to hard for me. My wife seems to be fine, but for me they are really hard and I do not rest well. The complete Hotel heater or airconditioning is or heat or cold. Since we stayed during the transition in spring the room was too warm and we could not turn on the airco since it was still on heat.. Slept with the balcony door open. We ate breakfast the first time, but 17 euros per person we find to expensive for the breakfast you offer. Thanks Kees-Jan"

11 May 2011"My family with elementary aged children stayed here first for 4 days and then again for 1 day a week later. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are grateful for the professionalism exhibited by the staff. The hotel was very close to the metro (Diego de Leon/c.Juan Bravo-c.Alcantara.)You must follow the metro salida signs all the way to c.Juan Bravo/c.Alcantara or you come out several blocks from the hotel by the hospitals. It takes between 20-30 minutes to the airport or downtown tourist sites. Some of the rooms were slightly smaller than others due to double or triple bed accomodations. We were pleased to see that there were other families there. You need to request in advance a non-smoking room if that is your preference. We have already recommended this hotel to others in our family and their stay was also favorable. We were thrilled to have clean and modern rooms (albeit somewhat small as compared to US standards). We would certainly consider using the Zenit Abeba again in our future visits to Madrid!"

4 January 2012"The location of the hotel is excellent. Walking distance to the Metro (Seville), Sol, Plaza Mayor and many other tourist attractions. We were pleased with the receptionist Marta Lopez who speaks English and provided us with guide and options on transportation to places of attractions. Suggestions - (1) Lightings in the room are rather dimmed, (2) It would be great if the hotel could provide a small electric kettle or microwave oven."
