"Location is perfect which is close enough to San Marco's square but away from the chaos and close to great restaurants. Rooms are a bit small but perfectly decorated and very comfortable."

"Service from the owner (Raffaele Petra) was outstanding! It is a pity he doesn't speak any Englich or French. The quality of food in the restaurant was excellent. Shower facilities were weak. Rooms were clean but the terrasses and windows were dirty. On the web is not mentioned that the funicolare is passing under the hotel, which give noises and vibrations at night when you are in bed! Air-conditioning makes a lot of noice."

"IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A HOTEL THAT IS OUT OF THE CROWDED PACE OF VENICE PROPER, THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY. IT IS A QUIET OASIS, PARK-LIKE SETTING JUST 12 MINUTES FROM ST.MARK'S SQUARE BY PRIVATE HOTEL SHUTTLE. THE HOTEL IS BEAUTIFUL AND OLD WORLD GRAND, LIKE A 'RITZ-CARLTON'. WE LOVED BEING GREETED BY THE BUNNIES THAT WOULD COME RIGHT UP TO YOU AND EAT OUT OF YOUR HAND. (THEY LOVE CHOPPED APPLES OR PEARS WHICH WE BROUGHT TO THEM EVERY DAY). THIS HOTEL USED TO BE A MONASTERY AND THEN A HOSPITAL THAT HAS BEEN REDONE INTO A HOTEL. THERE IS A CHAPEL ON THE GROUNDS AS WELL. THE HOTEL COVERS THE ENTIRE ISLAND OF SAN CLEMENTE. THE BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS PLENTIFUL OFFERING EGGS, HAM, SAUSAGE, PASTRIES, BREAD, FRESH FRUIT AND FRESH ORANGE JUICE, CEREALS AND COFFEE AND TEA. MORE THAN ENOUGH TO KEEP YOU GOING FOR THE DAY. AS TO SERVICE, THE HOTEL ARRANGED FOR US TO HAVE THE SHUTTLE SERVICE FOR A 3AM PICK-UP TO ST.MARK'S SQUARE FOR AN EARLY FLIGHT OUT OF VENICE AIRPORT. WE WILL DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN WHEN IN VENICE!"
