The small and reasonably priced Hotel Goldener Baer is located in the center of Vienna. Its convenient location puts the famous Ring just 100 meters away, and the Votiv church and the university right nearby. Guests can leave their car in one of the nearby underground car parks and take advantage of Vienna's convenient public transport service. Stations for subway lines U2 and U4 are nearby as are several tram stops.

The hotel's rooms are furnished in a modern style, and all include shower and toilet, cable TV (34 channels) and direct-dial telephone. Internet is available throughout the hotel with free WLAN and WiFi. A buffet breakfast gets the day off to a good start.

    The price does not support the quality! this is a 2 star hotel, not a 3 star as it says, but the biggest advantage is for sure the: location!!!! i payed for the location that's for sure, not for the services! the breakfast is poor but ok, the personell not so kind, but if you are looking for detailed cleanness, well...you better don't (i lost my apetite in the first day becouse of that).

    Room was spartan but very clean. bathroom spotless. breakfast room plain but clean. food was decent. concierge was an informative and delightful lady. every question that i had was answered in full. many tips from her about the city and surrounding areas. i will come back with my wife and daughter at the first opportunity.

    For the budget traveller more interested in the art, history and culture of vienna than being pampered in an overpriced hotel, the golden baer is an excellent choice. it is very good value for money, in a very convenient location three minutes walk from the ringstrasse.
